Twenty-one well maintained ADVANCE B-Train tank trailers from the former Petro-Canada fleet were sold at auction in less than 30 minutes on July 10, 2012. The sale was very well attended at the Richie Brothers’ Bolton, Ontario auction site with close to a hundred buyers in attendance and several thousand more online during the time of the sale.
Fleet Details
The former Petro Canada fleet was made up of high-mileage ADVANCE Petroleum B-Train units ranging between production years 1989 – 2005. All the units were well maintained and had recently been upgraded with new rims.
Auction Highlights
Buyers consistently place a premium on ADVANCE Tanker units when they come up at auctions and this sale was no exception.
Ten- 1999 Units: Sold at auction for $ 89,000 each; More than 50% of original sale price.
Eight- 2004 Units: Sold at auction for $ 112,000 each; More than 60% of original sale price.
Two- 2005 Units: Sold at auction for $ 120,000 and $ 147,500; More than 70% of the original sales price.
